My daughter has been interested in going to school overseas for a long time. She’s now almost completed her first years at our local college and has the opportunity to study abroad for the following year. Before she made the commitment though, I wanted her to visit the country and the university to see if she felt she’d be comfortable there. I made plans to go with her. We did a quick foreign exchange of some money, grabbed our passports and headed on our way.
